The Gordon Arms prides itself on being child friendly so that families can enjoy our facilities and relaxed atmosphere. We are fully licencsed to allow children to enter the hotel accompanied by their families, at any time of day.
Restaurant and Bar
The restaurant has a wide range of food choices which will tempt even the fussiest eaters. Our bar is licensed to allow children at all times if accompanied by an adult.
Outside Play area
An outside play area is available and is overlooked by the Sitooterie so families can easily keep an eye on the children while they are eating or relaxing.
Family rooms
For those staying with young children we offer a family room which can be set up to suit your needs including a cot for babies and toddlers.
Special Events
The Gordon Arms is a perfect venue for intimate special occasions.
The family run atmosphere makes for a relaxed and friendly event.
Our restaurant and Sitooterie both cater for up to 40 people. Our

Whether you’re a group of ramblers exhilarated from trecking around the border hills or a bus tour making your way to a further destination, The Gordon Arms is ideally situated for a no hassle, relaxing stop.

The Sitooterie
Unique to the Gordon Arms, our new “Sitooterie” is the perfect antidote to the Scottish weather. Fully customisable, this outdoor/indoor space accommodates 40 people for food or drinks or can be booked for an occasionIn warm weather the walls and/or roof can be easily draw back to allow visitors to make the most of the Scottish sunshine or provide shade or shelter. With outdoor heaters, our Sitouterie is a great venue to enjoy summer nights.
Open all year round, the unique design means that even in winter it can be used for alfresco dining and drinks.
